December 1 - 5, 2026
El Pescadero, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Do you ever feel stuck in routine or pressure around food?
Rushing through meals. Following rules. Cooking without joy.
Somewhere along the way, nourishment became another obligation.
What If Cooking Felt Like Creativity Again?
This retreat is not about learning more recipes.
It is about remembering how to trust yourself.
Through hands-on cooking, movement, and guided art, we gently move from thinking… into sensing.
Food becomes personal.
Expression becomes natural.
The table becomes a place of connection again.
This retreat is designed to help participants break free from the feeling that cooking is a chore. Many people feel stuck in routine, pressure, or obligation around food — rushing through meals, following rules, or cooking without joy.
The program invites participants back into a more natural relationship with food, where cooking becomes an act of creativity, self-expression, and care. Through simple, hands-on experiences, participants reconnect with their intuition, senses, and personal taste, learning to trust themselves in the kitchen again.
The focus is not on perfection or performance, but on presence and pleasure — creating food that truly nourishes the individual, both physically and emotionally. In the relaxed, beautiful setting of El Campo, cooking becomes a shared, joyful experience rooted in nature, rhythm, and connection.
An important part of the retreat is reconnecting with intuitive eating — the ability to listen to the body’s natural signals when we are feeling well, rested, and balanced. When stress and external rules fall away, we can access a clearer sense of hunger, satisfaction, and what truly supports us in the moment. Participants are guided to notice how different foods make them feel, to eat with attention and curiosity, and to trust their inner cues rather than habits or expectations. This approach supports a more relaxed, confident relationship with food that extends well beyond the retreat.
To support this state of ease and connection, the retreat incorporates guided art and movement workshops alongside the cooking experience. These modalities help participants step out of the thinking mind and into the body, senses, and present moment. Through simple creative expression and mindful movement, participants soften control, release tension, and build trust in their intuition. Each practice reinforces the others — when we nurture creativity through art, awareness through movement, and nourishment through food, we strengthen the same internal pathways. Supporting one area naturally supports the whole, creating a more balanced and integrated experience.

Annie Parr
Known for her lifelong devotion to movement, community, and creative expression, Annie Parr is a choreographer, teacher, and retreat host who makes space for people to come alive in their bodies.Trained at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she went on to perform, teach, and eventually found RoCo Dance in Marin County, CA—an award-winning performing arts center she led for three decades.
In 2022, Annie built El Campo in Pescadero, Mexico: a retreat and creative haven overlooking the Pacific where artists, movers, and seekers gather to rest, reset, and reconnect. It’s also home to her signature practice, The FIELD, which blends post-modern dance, yoga, authentic movement, body-mind centering, and choreography into something that feels equal parts grounding and electric.
These days, Annie splits her time between Baja and New York, teaching workshops, leading retreats, and reminding us all that movement isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are.
