RUSTIC HEIRLOOM CAPRESE SALAD - featuring BERRY OLIVE SALAD DRESSING

(recipe serves 4 as a dinner salad)

PERFECT FOR A LIGHT DINNER SALAD OR PARTY APPETIZER

INGREDIENTS:

4 MEDIUM FRESH HEIRLOOM TOMATOES FROM YOUR LOCAL FARMER'S MARKET
1 WHOLE BUNCH FRESH BASIL (OUR FAVORITE IS FROM THE HOME GARDEN, BALCONY OR KITCHEN COUNTER)
1 ROUND BUFFALO MOZZARELLA
4 OUNCES FARMHOUSE LAB BERRY OLIVE SALAD DRESSING
FRESH CRUSHED BLACK PEPPER (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1. CHOOSE YOUR FAVORITE SALAD OR MIXING BOWL, IDEALLY, ONE THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!
2. AFTER YOU'VE WASHED AND DRIED THE TOMATOES AND BASIL, BEGIN TO CUT THE PRODUCE. WE LIKE OUR HEIRLOOMS CUT IN BIG, CHUNKY ROUNDS FOR A DINNER SALAD, OR NICELY CHOPPED FOR A DELICATE APPETIZER PRESENTATION. THE BASIL CAN BE ROLLED AND CUT INTO RIBBONS, CHOPPED NICELY, OR ANY OTHER WAY YOU LIKE.
3. PAT THE BUFFALO MOZZARELLA WITH A DRY, CLEAN KITCHEN TOWEL AND CUT INTO ROUNDS SIMILAR IN SIZE TO THE HEIRLOOMS IF USING AS A DINNER SALAD, AND SMALLER, BITE-SIZED PIECES IF USING AS AN APPETIZER.
4. PLACE HEIRLOOM TOMATOES IN THE BOTTOM OF BOWL, PLACE THE MOZZARELLA PIECES ON TOP, ADD BASIL, THEN DRIZZLE FARMHOUSE LAB BERRY OLIVE SALAD DRESSING OVER EVERYTHING. ADD OPTIONAL FRESH CRUSHED BLACK PEPPER AND ENJOY!
